PRIVACY POLICY
How we look after your information
Complete Security and Installation respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to get in touch about it.
WHO WE ARE
About this policy
This privacy policy applies to Complete Security and Installation (CSI), a locksmith business operating from 87 Guyton Street, Whanganui 4501, New Zealand. We are the agency responsible for any personal information you share with us, and we comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Last updated: May 2026.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Information we collect
We only collect the information we genuinely need to quote, schedule, and complete locksmith work, and to keep records for tax and warranty purposes.
When you submit our contact form we collect your name, phone number, suburb, the type of service you need, and any message you write. Email and vehicle registration are collected only when relevant to your enquiry.
When you call us, we take notes of the job: your name, address or location, the lock or key you need help with, and any access details you give us so we can complete the work.
When you pay us, our EFTPOS or invoicing provider handles your payment. We do not store your card details, only a record of the transaction.
We do not collect any information about you simply for visiting this website. There are no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers loaded on these pages.
HOW WE USE IT
How we use your information
We use the information you give us only for the purpose you gave it to us, and for closely related purposes you would reasonably expect. For example: to respond to your enquiry, quote a job, dispatch a locksmith, send you an invoice, follow up on warranty work, and keep the business records the law requires us to keep.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers. We do not use it to build a profile of you for advertising.
SHARING
When we share your information
There are limited situations where we share information with third parties:
Suppliers and subcontractors: if a job needs a specialist tradesperson or a parts supplier, we may share the minimum job details required for them to do their part of the work.
Insurers: if your job is covered by an insurance claim (for example, lost car keys), we share the information needed for the insurer to authorise and pay for the work, usually with your consent and direction.
Legal obligations: if the law requires us to disclose information (for example, to NZ Police investigating a break-in we attended, or to Inland Revenue for tax records), we will comply with that obligation.
We do not transfer your personal information overseas. All our records are held in New Zealand.
STORAGE AND SECURITY
How we keep your information safe
Contact form submissions are stored on a server we control, located in New Zealand, and are mirrored to the email account we use to manage enquiries. Job records, invoices, and quotes are kept in our business management system and our paper records at the workshop.
We take reasonable steps to keep this information secure. Strong passwords, restricted access, locked premises, and prompt deletion of records we no longer need. We keep records for the period required by tax and warranty obligations (generally seven years), then delete or destroy them.
YOUR RIGHTS
Your rights to access and correction
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask us:
Access: what personal information we hold about you, and to receive a copy.
Correction: to correct anything that is wrong, or to attach a note recording your view if we cannot reach agreement.
To make a request, email services@completesecurity.co.nz or phone 06 345 0005. We will respond within 20 working days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

Cookies and website analytics
This website does not currently use analytics, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking of any kind. The only cookies that may be set are technical cookies needed to keep the site running (for example, a session cookie if you log into an admin area you don't have access to as a public visitor).
If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and tell you on the page where the cookies are set.
CHANGES
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top.
